Experience:Kelly is invested in researching Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACES) and how they impact Indigenous Communities. Kelly also has lived experience in dealing with her own suicide attempt as a child. Kelly has years of experience as a Health Care Specialist/Combat Medic with the US Army, Reserves & National Guard of ND. Kelly was a Certified Nursing Assistant, Licensed Practical Nurse, Associate Degree Registered Nurse and currently a BSN RN seeking to further her nursing career as an Advanced Practice Nurse. Kelly has experience working with At Risk Students to help assist the youth find healthy coping mechanisms and identify their protective factors through relationships with their families, communities, culture and prayer. Kelly is the liaison between the clinical and community services seeking multiple avenues for all clients young and old. Kelly is also an Alumni (2017-2020 Fellow) with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Clinical Scholars National Program.
